Metatron is named after the Archangel who channels divine energy through Metatron’s Cube, a geometric matrix that contains every shape found in creation. This ancient symbol represents the interconnected blueprint of the universe, from the fundamental structures of physical matter to the unseen patterns that govern harmony and balance in nature.
For us, these forms are more than decoration. They are visual counterparts to the music we share. Just as Metatron’s Cube maps the architecture of existence, psychedelic trance maps the architecture of sound: layered, fractal, and endlessly unfolding. The mathematical elegance of geometry and the rhythmic complexity of electronic music speak the same language: one of vibration, repetition, and transcendence.
Together, they create a space where structure meets fluidity, mind meets motion, and the dance becomes a living mandala.
Founded in 2006 by Rob Hoed, Metatron created the scene for psytrance in Eindhoven and beyond. Together with local DJs and deco artists never before seen experiences were created in venues such as Stroomhuis, Dynamo and on Queensday, making name for the organisation not only in Eindhoven but the country and beyond.
After 2008 the project was stopped, but the idea wasn't, and in 2023 the organisation was once again brought to life by Rob, Sean and Leigh with an unforgettable event at Burgers. Some organisational changes led to some members taking a back seat and the foundation has since been ran by Sean, Vince and Sjef producing events at Kingsday in 2024 together with Trance of the Budhha, Stage music cafe and more.
Working together with organisations, DJ's and artists from Eindhoven and beyond, Metatron is set to produce immersive psytrance experiences that you won't forget.
Psytrance is more than just an immersive sonic and visual experience; it is a space for unity, transformation, and radical inclusion. We believe in keeping a healthy, critical mind and questioning established power structures while staying grounded in reality.
However, true rebellion does not sow division, nor does it exploit spiritual growth for political grievance. We refuse to let our space be compromised by manipulative theories that weaponize fear, deny scientific reality, or threaten collective health. We reject authoritarian rhetoric disguised as "alternative truths." Our community is built on the synthesis of cosmic connection and grounded reality, where spirituality meets critical thinking.
Justice and the Dancefloor
We recognize that music transcends borders, but human rights do not. We fiercely condemn state violence, oppression, and geopolitical aggression wherever they occur. We do not conflate the art of a people with the actions of their government. We stand firmly with the artists who enrich our scene, regardless of their country of origin, and we reject any attempt to use their nationality as a weapon for or against them.
A Sanctuary, Not a Soapbox
To preserve this sanctuary, we ask that you leave the divisive symbols of the outside world at the door. We do not allow national or state flags of any kind at our events. This is not about ignoring reality; it is about creating a temporary autonomous zone where our shared humanity takes precedence over geopolitical borders. We protect each other, we respect our differences, and we keep the collective energy alive. Not through uniformity, but through mutual respect.
